Asparagus with Garlic

  • 1 lb asparagus, ends trimmed
  • water
  • 2 Tbs salted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced


  1. Add 1” of water to the bottom of a medium pot with a steamer insert.
  2. Place asparagus in steamer insert.
  3. Cover, and place over high heat.
  4. Steam for 6-10 minutes, or until asparagus is cooked as desired.
  5. Meanwhile, add butter and garlic to a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Cook, stirring constantly, until garlic turns golden brown. Remove from heat immediately.
  6. Toss asparagus with garlic butter and serve warm.
